Health

According to WHO, all Pacific countries and territories are facing health security risks due to emerging infectious diseases, including pandemics, food and water shortages, and to natural hazards.  Our population is also faced with the phenomena called the triple disease burden: a rapidly rising epidemic of non-communicable diseases and outbreak-prone diseases which remain prevalent; vulnerability to emerging infectious diseases which threatens health security, and consequently, national security; and the health impacts from vector-food-and-water borne diseases due to climate change.

Pacific Development consultants have been working with health sectors to build sustainable and effective healthcare for the Pacific.  Our experience with national health programs, our work with the Pacific populations, and our roots in clinical, population and public health gives our consultants a unique perspective on the challenges faced by our region.
