About Soura
In 2014, Soura Bhattacharyya co-founded Lattice Innovations (www.thelattice.in), a solution design firm with a focus on monitoring and measurement systems. Lattice’s designs include software for vaccine manufacturing, wearable devices for vertigo detection, cardiac health screening kiosks, infant growth monitoring apps, patient monitoring systems, clinical research software, and apps for frontline health workers. In the past decade, Lattice has designed 50+ solutions, of which 12 have been deployed. Lattice has worked with Fortune 50 firms, the World Health Organization, and State and Central Governments in India and overseas.

As part of his work in the Pacific, Soura has led engagements in Vanuatu for 2 projects -
1. Heartcare - An NCD EHR system funded by WHO and developed for the Ministry of Health.
2. Vanuatu Medical Disability Registry - A registry of citizens with medical disabilities built on an HL7 FHIR backbone to enable interoperability. The project was funded by The Pacific Community (SPC) and has received follow on funding from World Vision Vanuatu.
From 2012 to 2014, Soura led Technology Development & Human Resources at Glocal Healthcare. While at Glocal, he started up a 100-bed hospital in rural West Bengal, improved processes in 5 rural hospitals, developed training & skilling content for frontline health workers, and built India's first clinical decision support system for use by General Practitioners.
As Director of Clinical Affairs for OmniGuide Inc, Cambridge, MA, his prior work includes clinical research with international centers of excellence such as MD Anderson, Mt. Sinai and Mass General Hospital, in the domain of laser microsurgery. Soura started his career with ITC Limited, with roles spanning factory operations and engineering project management.
Soura holds a Bachelors’ in Technology (Hons) in Chemical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur, and an MBA (High Honors) from the Harvard Business School. He holds certifications from Coursera in Cybersecurity Risk Management, Generative AI, Computer Networking and Machine Learning. His writing and journal articles are available at www.soura.org.
